We Got on Board The Save Me San Francisco Tour

Last night was a night of many firsts. First time I've been to Alabang Town Center. First time to watch a concert with new found concert buddies- Mira and Shai. First time to dine at Sophia's in Westgate. And of course the first time to see TRAIN perform live.

We arrived at the concert venue at 8pm (show starts at 7pm). Despite us being late for an hour we were still able to catch Train perform 5 songs. There were already playing Save Me San Francisco (also the name of the  album and the tour) while we were running frantically in search for the concert venue coz we were not sure where the activity center is. Luckily, we found ourselves a place where we can see them. They also played If It's Love which is like my favorite song from their recent album. The crowd went wild when they sang Hey Soul Sister which is the first single from the 5th album. The last song they played is the Grammy-winning song Drops of Jupiter which brings to mind my highschool days. Train rocks! Patrick is love!

After the concert we decided to have dinner at Westgate. Us three want something Italian and to Sophia's Mediterranean Deli we went. Mira had spaghetti kalamarikia, Shai had penne vongole, I had penne gorgonzola. One tomato-based, one oil-based and one cream-based. We also shared pizza delphi. Food was good, the owner very friendly, nice and fast service. Pasta serving is actually good for two.

We then decided to stroll around Westgate. We saw some stalls and checked the merchandise for sale. There was this stall selling cutie boxer shorts for only 50Php. It's that cheap so we bought.

We have this goofy shots taken at Westgate before going home.
(one Taguig-bound, one Antipolo-bound, one Malabon-bound)

Next concert: Coheed and Cambria. Excited much!

Not Your Ordinary Tertulia

WHAT: Freeway's Launch of  the Jose Garcia Villa collection
WHERE: Legarda Elementary School
WHEN: June 16, 2010 at 10am
WHO: Cherie Gil, Tim Yap, Champ Lui Pio, Virgie Romero, Ruby Precilla, selected students
Freeway honors the works of National Artist for Literature - Jose Garcia Villa. A Tertulia was held to officially launch the JGV collection. There is no other perfect venue than Legarda Elementary School. Not only is it recognized by DepEd as a heritage site due to the school building structure but it is also where Jose Garcia Villa studied.

The event was graced by celebrities. Cherie Gil read selected poems from Villa's Doveglion. Champ of Hale performed Kung Wala Ka and Blue Sky. Tim Yap interviewed Ruby Precilla (JGV's favorite niece) and Virgie Romero (JGV's contemporary). He also donated school supplies for the students of the school. The event's hosts were students from Legarda. And the school's dance troop also performed.

By the way, below are just some of the clothes included in the collection. Go check Freeway stores to see more =)

The night before the event, Mira, Drex, Shai and I stayed late at the office to wrap books and help prepare the press kit.
